PALM SUNDAY: “HARD & HOLY WORK: SALVATION IN OUR MIDST”

With branches lifted high and voices raised, we’ll shout Hosanna to the King on Sunday, March 29th at 10:45 AM. There will be a special moment of teaching during this worship for the kids before they are released for Sunday School; make sure to stick around and get to know us a bit better at coffee hour following the service — down in Sawyier Hall.

MAUNDY THURSDAY

APRIL 17 @ 7:00 PM | 4950 W Pratt Ave, Chicago, IL 60077

His body broken, his blood shed, our sins forgiven — join us to remember the final moments of Christ’s life at our Maundy Thursday service: on Thursday starting at 7:00 PM.

This service will feature special music from Elizabeth Brown on the organ, as well as the anthem “O Come and Mourn With Me,” performed by our Chancel Choir. 

This Maundy Thursday service is also a is a Tenebrae (meaning shadow) service, composed of music, Scripture readings, and the ritual of extinguishing candles into the darkness. All who gather to remember will be invited to leave under the cover of night and in solemn silence. Of course, all are welcome too

EASTER SUNDAY: EASY & HOLY WORK: PROCLAIMING THE RESURRECTION

Celebrate our Risen Savior with us this Easter! This service includes the preached Word by our pastor, Rev. Stuart Barnes Jamieson, a time of learning with our Young Disciples, and our beloved annual tradition of performing Part III of Handel’s “Messiah,” featuring guest musicians and our Chancel Choir, directed by Pat Radosavljevic

Whether you’ve been in our pews your whole life, just for Lent, or are looking for a loving church to live out the truth of the Resurrection — we’d be so blessed join our voices in praise with you.

ABOUT OUR SPACE & CHURCH:

Our church is located at 4950 W Pratt Ave, Skokie, IL 60077 on the corner of Pratt and Lavergne. We have a parking lot on the north side of the building and a car port at the point of entry for easy drop-offs and pick-ups. These services are held in the sanctuary, and bathrooms are located within the building either up or down a flight of stairs, one equipped with an electric chair lift.

We are a prayerful and loving community of welcome and worship for all who to live in the way of Jesus – gathering Sunday mornings at 10:45 AM. You are most welcome

We worship with traditional classical music and yet still feel like a family — where you can come just as you are. We have Sunday School for the kids and coffee hour following service for all. Whoever you are, wherever you come from, you are welcome here!
