Rev. Stuart Barnes Jamieson | Pastor/Head of Staff

Pastor Stuart is delighted to be serving as Pastor/Head of Staff at Carter-Westminster
United Presbyterian Church since 2021. A graduate of Northland College and United
Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities in Minnesota. Ordained in 1986, Stuart served
a church in Edgar, Nebraska and then went on into a career in Non-Profit management
and consulting, including an extensive career with Habitat for Humanity and a stint on
the Resource Development staff at Fourth Presbyterian Church of Chicago. He is
delighted to be returning to his “first career” with the wonderful people of Carter-
Westminster Church. Stuart is married to Rev. Brenda Barnes Jamieson, an intentional
interim minister. They live in Oak Park and have two grown children, Andrew and
Rachel. Stuart loves biking and vacations in the Wisconsin Northwoods.

Pat Radosavljevic | Music Director & Organist

Pat Radosavljevic started playing for church in 5th grade and has been playing every Sunday since. Pat
received a Bachelor’s in Organ/Church Music from the American Conservatory of Music
under Dr. Robert Lodine. She has been organist/Music director of the Chancel, Children’s
and Handbell choirs at Carter-Westminster Presbyterian church since 1982. During her
time as music director, we installed and enhanced an Austin pipe organ and purchased
a Mason and Hamlin grand piano. Pat created an annual Christmas concert that has
continued for 25 years presenting Christmas anthems, sing-a-longs and Handel’s
Messiah Part I involving our chancel choir with professional singers and chamber
orchestra featuring many soloists from Lyric Opera’s Ryan Opera Center.
Music at Carter-Westminster incorporates many styles including classical,
contemporary/praise, gospel and ethnic musical offerings. Pat hires professional
instrumentalists and vocalists from Grant Park Symphony, Chicago Symphony Chorus,
Lyric Opera and many accomplished musicians from around Chicago.

As well, she is on the Board of the American Guild of Organists. Pat’s husband, George, is a professional
pianist and her son is a professional singer and pianist who married a professional
singer. Their home is always filled with music!

George Radosavljevic | Pianist

Pianist George Radosavljevic is well-known in the Chicago area as both soloist and
collaborative pianist. He has appeared on the Dame Myra Hess Concert Series, the Chicago
Symphony Orchestra Chamber Music Series, and in many solo and ensemble concerts
broadcast live on WFMT Radio. His playing has been called "polished and elegantly shaped"
by the Chicago Tribune and "consistently enchanting" by the Pioneer Press. George has
been principal pianist of the Lake Forest Symphony and Elgin Symphony and currently plays
for Chicago Sinfonietta and Metropolis symphony. He is on the faculty of the Music Institute
of Chicago and DePaul University School of Music, Community Music Division.
Mr. Radosavljevic is currently the president of the North Shore Music Teachers Association
and a board member of the chamber music organization Rendezvous Arts. Mr.
Radosavljevic holds the degree Master of Music in piano performance from DePaul
University as a scholarship student of Dmitry Paperno.

Anna Torgensen | Office Administrator

Anna serves as our Office Administrator at C-W, helping ensure the day-to-day operations of the church run smoothly. With a degree in music and a background as a piano teacher, she brings creativity and care to everything she does. Outside of work, Anna enjoys spending time in nature, connecting with friends and family, and exploring a variety of artistic pursuits.

Melinda Nano | Sunday School Teacher

Melinda has been our Sunday School Teacher at Carter-Westminster since 2019. She holds a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education and English as a Second Language (ESL) from North Park University. She is currently a teacher in our Skokie community and brings almost a decade of experience with children and education, having worked since high school with children in both elementary and middle school. In her free time, Ms. Melinda values spending time with friends and family. She is a music lover like so many in our church — from singing to watching live performances, she loves it all! You can also find Melinda travelling to new places, cooking, and trying new food in her spare time.

Elizabeth “Ez” Pence | Communications Manager

Elizabeth, or Ez, Pence is a writer, organizer, and bookseller hailing from a little town about twenty-five minutes east of Flint, Michigan. She holds a Master of Divinity from Chicago Theological Seminary. Ez is one among many ordinands at Hyde Park Union Church, a progressive Baptist church on Chicago’s South Side, and the architect behind The People’s Room, a new experiment in ecclesiology, mutual aid, and community care.

When not helping faith communities and nonprofits share their voice and connect through digital and print marketing and event coordination, Ez spends a lot of time thinking and writing about trauma studies, literature, and liberation theology. Generally, when not doing those things, you can find Ez by Lake Michigan, working on her many creative projects, cooking with her partner, Ross, while their jet-black sabo-cat, V, supervises, or organizing labor.
